Effects of No Social Networking

I had no clue how much time I spent on Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare until I went cold turkey with them.  Since I didn’t get to update everything on Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare, I thought I’d do a quick blog because I know all of you are dying to know what I was doing (haha, as if).

Effects of no Social Networking:

1.  I started reading.  I have only read one book on my own time (but I lost it about 10 pages before I finished! – Dies the Fire by J.M. Sterling), but this month, I finished two books (The Revolution and End the Fed by Ron Paul, and am halfway through another, The Real Lincoln:  A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda, and an Unnecessary War by Thomas DiLorenzo.  I have a few more books sitting at home waiting for me as well.

2.  I’ve been able to get more gaming done!  Maybe not a great turn, but heck, trying to keep my Steam Rating at 10 and raising my levels in Killing Floor needs some extra time!

3.  About a week into March, I got rid of that whole “I wonder what’s going on with Facebook” thought.  That’s extremely liberating.

4.  Did you see the number of Quality blogs I was able to do?

Not a whole lot really happened for the month (been really busy with work), but St. Patrick’s Day…wooo!!  Working a lot!  Worked more this month than any other month I've worked!

And as if…I also did end up going to Wrestlemania XVI!  As I’ve been telling everyone about that experience, there will be no energy like it was during the HBK vs. Undertaker match!!!

Ultimately, I'm actually quite proud I was able to do it.  There were a couple times I really wanted to get on and share my thoughts with updates/tweets, but I refrained.  I know I won't be getting on as often now, but it'll be something I do less occasionally.
