The Haitian Cover Up
Alright, this might come from the absolute non-stop coverage of the travesty in Haiti, but maybe we can move on?
Yesterday, I finally was pushed to my limit on it. Don't get me wrong...it really is a horrible thing what happened. I would be donating help, but right now, I'm seriously on the line of being broke right now.
What I am really worried about is what is going on in Congress right now. A lot of the news coverage going on for the last year was on D.C., but what have I heard of it in the last 3 days? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Also, of the $300,000,000 given to the Haiti Relief, $100,000,000 of that is from the U.S. Government. Again, not that I am against the help, but why are they giving so much? Not only that, but the deployment of the military down there to help out I'm sure is not cheap...and now that is less time for troops to recover from deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
The fed needs to really stop policing the world. I just don't understand how we're ever suppose to get out of debt if we just spend, spend, spend!
And I take back that earlier statement. I did see Judge Nepolitano get to talk about the "Bank Tax" for a copule minutes. 0bama wants to take more money now from the banks, who already paid them back, to help the government pay off its failure with the car companies. Watch it here.
