Lately, I have been watching old DVD's I have of TV shows.  One show in particular has been very memorable to me - "3rd Rock from the Sun"

Until recently, I thought "3rd Rock" was ad-libbed quite a bit.  After watching the special features on the DVD of season 3, I learned that the show is pretty much written the way it is presented!  I didn't think a major network sitcom would have

Dick Solomon is probably my favorite character out of all Sitcoms, but a lot of the "Big Bang Theory" characters are coming close to topping him, haha.  Dick is cleverly and distinctively portrayed by John Lithgow, who, for me, is hard to watch in any other role he plays.  Taken from Wikipedia:

"John Lithgow received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for each year the show was broadcast, winning the Emmy in 1996, 1997, and 1999. Accepting the 1999 award he said 'Many wonderful things have happened to me in my life, but the two best are 3rd Rock and my family.'"

So, long live "3rd Rock from the Sun."  I hope there one day will be a movie, but I have yet to see the end of the whole show   BUT...I did happen to check out bestbuy.com after I got home from Walmart on Black Friday...each season of "3rd Rock"...$9.99!!!  As Bubb Rubb says, "WOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"  I now own all the seasons!!!!
